Looks like the SUV driver didn't even stop when he got hit either and rolled for a few more seconds. Maybe thinking of doing a runner until bike and limbs got stuck underneath and then he stopped.

...and turned on the indicator.

Many car drivers here it would seem.  Too many on bike - yes,  driving too fast - not convinced,  not paying enough attention - probably.  Fortuner turning dangerously, illegally, selfishly, stupidly - definitely!

More likely drunk. 4 on board, no helmets, probably no license and insurance either. And speeding.

I don't understand you guys blaming the Fortuner - he slowed down for about 10 seconds before making the U-turn, anyone driving at a sane speed behind him would've seen the brake lights and slow down too. At the speed these kids were flying they were a few hundred meters behind him when he started to slow down so there is no way he would've seen them even if he checked his mirror. The kid driving the bike likely was preoccupied and didn't look at the road. Not to mention the bike driver veered right and basically slammed right into him when he could've veered left and avoid him completely.

That's what happens when kids drive bikes. People get hurt. They need to do more to get these punks off the road. 100% if they survive they'll do it again in the future.

because if you don't drive defensively and with awareness in Thailand, this is what happens.  Kids on bikes here are idiots and you need to take that into account at all times.  The car drive did not do that.

Thai drivers are capable of anything despite how stupid and dangerous it is.

Capable of anything? Yes, with maybe the possible exceptions of driving sensibly, safely and with any form or awareness to what is going on around them.

This yet another accident that is completely avoidable on so many levels.

Does not change the fact that they were 4 on a bike without helmet, speeding, and very likely drunk or on drugs.

Sure... but you asked why people were blaming the fortuner driver ... THAT'S WHY

Teens are the more at fault. They should have been to the left, not traveling going into the other opposite traffic coming lane. Not sure if there was a signal going right, but even if illegal, the U-turn looked safe enough. But he did venture as I saw into a pedestrian walk as there was a runner at the last moment to be seen coming into the cc frame. Too bad for the kids, but no common sense on good riding was used at any level.

Maybe the kids were about to overtake the Fortuner as it slowed to make its u-turn and made no indication that It was going to do so.  I couldn't see any indicator light flashing in the video.
