It takes an investigation to collect hard evidence of a crime that would stand up in court.  It's not easy.  If hard evidence does surface then we might see one.

The mainstream media had once enjoyed, and even earned, a regard of credibility.  It has since been lost.  When a news source begins to report falsities time and again, when they've metamorphosed from reporting facts to spewing only biased opinions, then I turn away from them.  Granted, some are able to gloss over all of their disrepute and hence still consider them respectable.

 

Alternative media is considered Looney Tunes only by the same individuals who still believe in the unblemished authority of MSM.  It is promoted as such by the MSM precisely to protect it's standing and influence.  But that is only self evident.

 

In this day and age the news sources available to us are too numerous to list.  But no matter what the news source is I would say that only a fool would swallow anything whole without examination.  In my opinion there isn't a single source out there that does not have it's own bias in one regard or another.  Sometimes truthful, sometimes not.

 

Now I figured that I was gifted a brain for a reason so I leave it to myself to sort the truth from the BS.  And as you pointed out, the vast majority of human beings tend to read and generally believe the so called MSM.  In other words, there are a lot of people who do not think for themselves and are completely comfortable with others, be it the MSM or another source, to tell them unequivocably what to think.
