A Bangkok taxi driver has admitted assaulting a security guard at a housing estate in Bang Po, Samut Prakarn on Monday.

The driver said he got cross because the guard was slow in opening the gate

The assault was caught on tape. Yesterday Phoomirat, 43, "wai-ed" the guard Narongdech, 59, at the police station.

But though the guard forgives him the matter will not end there.

The Bang Po police have charged the driver with a dangerous assault that carries the prospect of two years in jail.

He will appear in court on Friday.

Scary that people like this are allowed to drive taxis.

If you're to slow paying for the ride....?

Or too slow to complain about too fast or dangerous driving behavior...

If he decides to sexually assault a female (or male) passenger and she is too slow to do his bidding, she will no doubt be stabbed or hit with a cabbie's weapon of choice, a chair leg with a 6 inch nail sticking out of it (a friend had to run for his life from a cabbie brandishing one of those).

At last, ignoring the Wai and getting prosecuted for your actions!
