A life sentence or death sentence is often commuted and the prisoner transferred to his home countries prison for a few more years. 

The Australian that killed the biker in pattaya was given a death sentence. He served about three years of it and released.

He should have just plead guilty for selling drugs and did a few years and get sent home. He was only 39, he would have saw his freedom again.

Death penalty for drugs is stupid to begin with. Crime doesn’t fit the punishment.

Yes, I was being sarcastic.  So many "anti Thai everything" posters here say things like "of course they caught him he was farang" as if Thai police only ever go after Farang - a nonsense comment borne out by this story.
