Finger shown to ambulance: Benz driver doesn't show up as company rep says sorry instead

No apparent accountability. No mention of police involvement in the article. No apparent willingness to identify the company. No apparent willingness to identify the driver. An apparent effort to distort the photo that reveals the license plate. Yup others will certainly be deterred in the future by all this accountability.

Utter Scumbag.

Does the company want this piece of filth representing them.

Boycott this company and any other companies dealing with them.

Publically name him and sack him.

Name and shame the MONGREL BAG OF PUKE !

Why are Police failing to take the utmost decisive action against this mongrel ?

There was mention that under certain circumstances the offender could face  JAIL TIME... so go for it and make an example of this Low Life .

The company sent a woman to do what the shameless driver didn't have the balls to do. I am sure most readers will be happy if the guy is fired.

In fact women are more graceful brave than most men. Especially, immature man.

Giving someone the finger is defamation is it not?

Yes. Especially the face show disgruntled expression.

Not if you claim that you just flipped the cigarette out of the window using the middle finger ...

I have loads to do with them.

This is how I know this is anything but typical.

The scumbag is the boss who sent his clerk to do his dirty work!  someone please post the location of his office so we can all show up at the office and provide him with payback,  a hundred thousand " middle finger "   If the police don't do anything larger than the fine then they deserve the next time they need drivers to move over when they escort someone important they can expect the middle finger!

My sympathy for the poor employee sent to kowtow on behalf of this POS, my utter disgust for the knuckledragger who thinks they are too important first to move for an ambulance and then apologise for their inhumane behaviour, and my prayer that the police have the balls to drag him hard over the coals (doubtful).

And I thought only Beamers where the rude ones!

Only 2 drivers I had issue with recently were both in Mercs behaving like they own the roads.

Benz Drivers in Thailand consider themselves as an elite class above reproach but to us Farang they are dumbasses who paid $100,000+ US Dollars for a German Taxi equal in Europe to the status a Toyota "Altis" has in Thailand. They deceive themselves they have "made it" but really they have been duped into buying a meter taxi for triple what it's really worth!! I love the look on their face when I tell them in fluent Thai that they paid triple for what is in reality a "German Meter Taxi Cab". Many say to me, No "This is Thailand" as if it has magically transformed into a "AMG 500 or some kind of "Status Symbol" when they roll it off the boat. Sorry it does not <deleted>. For the same money in America you get an S 500. Now that's a car to be proud of. Let me say to all you Thai people here now. When an Amer-I-CAN's 4 million baht AMG 500 take a <deleted> an E 220 comes out. That's what you have Somsak. ... LOL

This should be treated as a crime, voluntarily endangering somebody else life

Absolutely!

This is all very well but there needs to be real legal accountability for people deliberately impeding ambulances or emergency vehicles.

exactly.
attempted assault,
causing bodily harm,
causing death by negligence,
contempt of government employee,
contempt of the Law, i.e. contempt of the Country's leadership

Surely police can at least summon ambulance blockers,
Fine them or if no-show take them to court and let judge decide.

Quite amazing the TH attitude on the roads. Not to long ago I was the almost dead patient in an ambulance from Sriracha to BKK. I was fully conscious but in horrific pain. The operating theatre was being prepared while our driver was going at 140 km/hr on the highway. Almost the entire distance we were followed by several madmen, at some point literally fighting for pool position. The cars were so close we could recognize the drivers face.

The nurse and assistant on board were quite upset and arriving in BKK told me this happens all the time and often resulted in accidents when the ambulance driver had to step on the breaks.

Indeed, a very caring culture on roads at least. I am still alive and quite happy with private hospitals and the support of my insurance. MS>

A company providing Mercedes to its employees would signal senior upper management. Alternatively the spoilt brat of a son (in-law?) of the owners.

I would file for attempted murder, or at least manslaughter as he did not give way on purpose and showing his finger is self-explanatory.

But, as we are in Thailand, a B500 fine is in order and no lesson learnt - except for the rest of the population getting confirmed - oncemore again - that not all Thais are equal; despite of whatever is written in the law.

Good luck I am not a relative of the patient in the ambulance; I would certainly apply much more unorthodox retaliations to teach the <deleted> a lesson which the little tawt would never forget for the rest of his life!

Seismic has it.  An apology by proxy is not acceptable.  Continue the thread until the ( basXXX)  is named and shamed.  Don't let it go.  Continue the pressure until the (kxxt) comes forwatrd then sack him from his job.  1000 hours hospital porter community service.

Tells me it's the spoilt son (assuming of course).

From what I hear, it is the husband that was the driver. The wife came to apologize.

But make sure it is in either the emergency room or the morgue.
