BMA organizes ’Bangkok Enjoy Aging’ event

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has organized “Bangkok Enjoy Aging”, which features the power of cooperation and participation to develop the quality of life of elderly persons.

 

With over one million elderly people in Bangkok, the BMA has developed measures to take care of the elderly and Bangkok Governor Pol Gen Assawin Kwanmuang presided over the opening ceremony today.

 

The event is a manifestation of the power of cooperation and participation for improvements in the quality of life of elderly persons. It includes various medical services, such as mobile healthcare and mobile stress relief units, dental and hearing check-ups, diabetes, breast and cervical cancer screening and blood pressure checks.

 

The event also features a center for family savings and debt resolution, along with various recreational activities for the elderly, including an Enjoy Aging contest held by the Happy Center for All Ages and vocational training for the visiting elderly persons.

 

The event is being held on November 23 and November 24 from 07.00 a.m. to 03.00 p.m. at the Thai-Japanese Bangkok Youth Center in Din Daeng.
