it is so boring here in Hua Hin. nothing to do at all . no where to eat.

but i think Pattaya smells worse than Hua Hin.

i personally stuck my nose in the sewers in both towns on the same day and for sure Pattaya was really bad. and not just once. many times i stuck my head in the sewers to check.

and there was more vomit and urine on the streets in Pattaya.

that was a month long survey by the way.

i just want to say i love Pattaya. i am seriously looking at renting a condo there.

what a load of tosh!

there are loads of places to eat mate.

you need to look around a bit more, the restaurants are not exactly hard to find.

sounds to me like you are far more suited to Pattaya.

dont hurry back

I was in Hua Hin a couple of months ago for 3 nights and it was very boring. At times during the day I had the beach to myself. I sat in the same bar 2 nights in a row and was the only customer all night long. I shot several free games of pool with the girls working there and were just as bored as I was.

You're going to the wrong places mate.  The same places that nobody else goes to which is why you're alone!

There are lots of places like that but there are also lots of others that have ridden the storm and doing very well.  The bars and restaurants 'out of town' do far better than those in the so-called 'tourist traps'. I can understand these reviews from visitors as they don't know the town.

What if the nightlife, as you know it / knew it, was to change?  Would Pattaya still be a good place to live?

Yes in a word. The nightlife will change as it always will, but it is far better than anywhere else in the world that I know. In any case I live with my Thai wife and we own a house here.

I used to stay in Tira Tira not far from the station and night market. Had a nice condo but the pool was freezing so moved  to Jomtien. The drains were bad then, about 6 yrs ago. Phuket’s the same, depending where you are. What I hated in Hua Hin, lots of rats there. A bit boring too, there was only the one mall. I loved the All In restaurant, it was clean , and some nice European foods.,

My partner and I visited Hua Hin once and that was quite enough--some places only need one visit.

we get a lot of visitors that we are glad only visit once ????

Than I guess, nightlife is not so important for you.  The tourists, on the other hand......................................................
