Sixteen Singaporean tourists were injured, five of them seriously, when their tour bus skidded off a road in Muang district of Thailand’s central province of Sing Buri on Friday night.

All the injured passengers were rushed to the provincial hospital by rescue workers from the Ruam Katanyu Foundation.

Police said that the tourists were taken on a tour of a church and Channasoot local market in Bang Rachan district, where a Christmas celebration was being held.

It never skidded off the road, damn there has been no rain for ages. Driver was incompetent he drove it off the road.

lost control of the bus and ploughed into roadside bushes, with the bus ending up on its side.

Tour bus????

That looks like a songteow. If they were expecting a tour bus they would be very disappointed.

16 people in a songteaw seems a bit cramped to me.

Driver should at least be  prosecuted for overloading his truck.

Funny that Thailand never mentions road safety in their tourist issues-word of mouth is significant-maybe that’s why they are down to the two most populated countries?

That's a Thai tourbus? My my, I wonder what their tuktuks are like.

I see busses that are as tall as double deckers driving along the road. Beautifully decorated. I was assured by the wife that these are tourbusses. The photo obviously caught it on a bad day.

Wouldn't that mean more mouths to spread the word?

Yes, they don’t seem to think road deaths have anything to do with tourism.  It seems they believe it is only a Thai problem
