I remember watching the 2012 Olympics from London with some Thai friends in the pub when Thailand fought China in the boxing final for the gold medal. It was Thailand all the way and the commentary reflected that. At the end the medal went to China- the groans in the pub were unbelievable. I was shocked and dumbfounded in London to boot .....not that any such thing could ever happen here. If I disappear it was nice knowing you....

No not at all it is a turn of phrase. My point is that the lovely Yinn who joined May 26, 2019 was very active for this time - won the POTY and hasn't been seen since. I have no doubt as to the fact that she is Thai and female and very charming. What I have my doubts about is her purpose here and whether she was a real 'punter' as such. However I am a suspicious old fool so no doubt given the absolute integrity of all folk here  in the lovely Land of Smiles these 'suspicions' are unfounded and without any substance. If I had come a close second I would have wanted to think this was a fair and straight race given the prestigious nature of the award and it's long and noble heritage. Just saying.....

 

A steward's enquiry is called for when there is a point of dispute. In horse racing, for example, when two horses appear to be joint winners, the steward has to make the final decision as to which one actually won the race. In your context it would seem that there was a bit of rule breaking going on so the steward was called to give his opinion.
