Nice try. As I pointed out, it was the Obama administration that got even Russia and China to impose economic sanctions on Iran. That's the pressure that got the deal in place.

The US owed that money to Iran for decades and offered to expedite the settlement of the debt in order to make it easier for Iran to release some Americans being held.  It wasn't a bribe by any means.  It was a smart move.  Get your facts straight.

I have  just read that there hs been a declaration from within Iran that if the US commits to a significant attack  Iran will concentrate retaliation on Israel.

Because Russia and China really loved the lopsided deal that allowed Iran to retain the technology to be a serious future nuclear threat to their enemy (competitor) the US. Why wouldn't they?

No, there are still several 10s of millions. But the get killed when they become vocal like the the 1500 killed just recently.

There will always by dissidents in every authoritarian state. Somehow threat of war by an outside force always galvanized the country against a common enemy. You have to wait till Trump leave office and US military withdraw from Iraq with tails behind their backs like in Vietnam.  

And in the midst of this Putin has popped into Syria for a quick chat and tour.

Trump gets to play the hard guy and Iran saves face. Time to defuse this before it gets very ugly for all concerned. A failed state in Iran with highly trained and armed guerillas fanning out into the world is not what is wanted. They are almost the muslim equivalent of the vc and we knoe how that turned out. Trump if he has any sense will see that, make some electioneering noises and get back to his twitter trolling ,impeachment and big mac feasts. At least that is my hope.

Somehow the UN has not condemned the bombing. Iran rightly claimed that they acted proportionately in self defense under Article 51 of UN Charter to target the base where the drones were launched to kill Soleimani. Hard pressed for US to find good reason to retaliate. 

Iran fully deserves every bombing they get. They have been far too cocky and taunting the US thinking that there will be just some talks about it and nothing happens. It's time that their petty threats were put to an end with some real power.

 

Obama drawing a line in the sand and the line was walked over.. nothing happened . What a joke that was and it makes us all look like fools.

Why on earth would they deserve it? Trump backed out of the nuclear deal which by all accords Iranians were following perfectly. That is an escalation by the US.

Palestine, Pakistan, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, Algeria among other Muslim countries want to destroy Israel. You want all these countries blown away too. Perhaps Israel need to be good neighbour and stop acquiring lands in neighboring countries.
