A PRISON has been placed on lockdown today after an inmate collapsed in his cell with suspected coronavirus after returning from a Thai jail.

The lag is believed to have been banged up in Thailand before being transferred to Bullingdon prison in Bicester, Oxfordshire. An entire wing at the jail has been shut off with three cons now being tested for the deadly disease.

A source told MailOnline: "The entire wing is currently in lockdown and will be for the next 72 hours or so. "That means that prisoners will remain in their cells for the duration and will be fed food on plates pushed through their door hatches."

The source explained that the stricken prisoner was being treated at a “specialist hospital” outside of the prison walls. They added: “He is understood to have recently arrived at Bullingdon from a jail in Thailand under a transferral scheme.

Which seems to suggest that in Thailand there's a lack of checking / screening somewhere in the check-in / boarding etc., processes.

Huh? There is no real screening at all. I say that as someone who has been in and out of Thailand a few time’s in the last couple of weeks. (I didn’t fly in from China though).

There is no bandwidth (or for that matter speed when it comes to flights) to do random testing on people that are not already being traced or suspected cases (suspected cases: Before testing for Coronavirus they would have to run tests they do have bandwidth to rule out other ailments with similar symptoms).
