A group of Chinese people were convinced by a Thai that the best way to ensure that the Covid-19 virus crisis in their country is resolved would be to donate a whole load of eggs to Thailand's revered Buddhist image of Luang Phor Sothon.

So the six Chinese men and women led by Sang Chao Jao, 44, donated 200,000 eggs to the temple in Chachoengsao, east of Bangkok, where the image resides.

Sang said he was convinced that such a donation would be able to help after a friend said their granddaughter had survived a difficult childhood after praying to the image.

It's an image that features on countless very powerful and successful amulets.

However, they were under the impression that the eggs would be handed out free to the needy as part of the assuaging of the terrible impact of the virus on China.

That didn't happen.

Overnight all the eggs went missing.

Then an online message appeared advertising "Cheap Eggs For Sale".

An employee at the temple explained that the money would go to the temple coffers and everything would be alright.

Sanook called it a huge (not just a big) drama and stated that netizens were more than irate.

Now if we can only get the Netizens to team up with the BMW smart car....

I have a shrine too. If you pray there - can be done online aswell - it saves you from any possible infections.
