I'm on a work visa, due to flights being locked down and realizing how bad this is gonna get, I'm going to take a flight home asap. I wont be ending my work contract properly. Will the immigration deny me leaving?

You better be quick, the whole World is going into lockdown,

Why do you think immigration knows anything about your work contract?

If you're not planning on coming back and only have a single-entry visa attached to your work permit they might ask questions, but just say you'll be going to the Thai Embassy back home to get a new re-entry visa after the pandemic.

 

Tell them something they'll like to hear, like you don't want to burden Thailand with your healthcare if you get sick so you'll stay in your home country until whenever. I wouldn't be telling them that I'm not coming back at all - there might be all kinds of paperwork/tax issues.

I wouldn't book any such flight now. High chance your trip gets cancelled and your money down the drain together with the airline industry.
