Last time I was down there was in the '90s for one of the Tony Reyes trips, it was a little sad to see what it had become, but the people did look much more prosperous,,,

LOL.  That was my father's favorite place.  I think he first started going there in the 80's.  Loved it.  San Carlos actually, as there was a golf course there.

 

Use to take us out to what he called "Catch 22".  Where the movie was filed.  I've spent a fair amount of time there. LOL

You can empty it at any fuel-station in a toilet. It has some chemicals that are biodegradable and turn everything into a liquid without faul smell.

 

It's not the nicest job, but not as bad as you would think.

 

Gray water can be dumped at all PTT-stations or if needed, in the woods. After all, it's only water and soap.

Did you know that at 7 in the morning it is 3 degrees (celcius) on doi inthanon ?  I guess you did not know that as there is no hotel there... just a (free) camp-site for tents and... motorhomes...  And there are many, many other such places.

That was done deliberately to make a fun photo.

Or are you suggesting that I somehow hacked into the sign and changed it ?  

FYI, doi inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand.

Indeed it is for sale as our plans for the future have changed quit suddenly.

FYI, doi inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand.

I'm not suggesting anything, just thought it was an unusual way to dress for such temperature. It's often been 3* here in the north west UK this last winter, I wouldn't want to go outside with so little clothing.

 

I know where & what Doi Inthanon is thank you. West of Lamphun, 2565 metres.

Is also much more fast for moving than camper or roulotte.

Tend  for close from the light of the day most of the time is not necessary we have but not always use.

In the past 20 years ago no hotel in doi inthanon and only camp site now is plenty.you cannot see in the Main Street go to the top of the mountain but they are at 1300 mt hight

anyway one of the best choise for camper

In low season, hotels are so cheap I would question the need for one. Good luck, but i feel travel will be restricted here for some time to come.

As Lace says there a no or very few proper campsites providing such amenities as pump out,electricity etc. Where will you dump out the holding tank? You'll need a generator or power supply for the ac unit or you'll roast. Hotel/motel etc are very reasonable here if you look around.

I've owned various RV,s over the years and thoroughly enjoyed camping in Western Canada (British Columbia) but I've never been tempted to try it here for all the reasons above.
