URGENT: Need to go to Bangkok and come back to Uttradit. Is there any restriction on movement?

Featured Replies

 Hi

I am based in Uttradit. Due to urgent problem need to visit Bangkok and come back to Uttradit in a private car.

Please advise if any prevailing restriction/situation that might hinder my movement due to corona outbreak.

Cheers

Is there really no way you can sort this over the phone/net?

Whilst there is no blanket travel ban at present there is a national curfew and many districts have their own rules, some even locking out non-residents.

I would place this mission on the "most unwise" list.

OP a few words of advice..... Stay put, stay safe.

Unless you absolutely have to go ... I would avoid any travel during this time. You are only asking for trouble.

There are checkpoints on the highways and you will be stopped and questioned as to why you are travelling.

Without a very convincing and absolutely critical reason with proof I would expect, one will find themselves in a difficult situation if the checkpoint officer deems your excuse unfounded.

If the travel is urgent maybe you can get a document signed by a local official, policeman or doctor?

Thanks everyone for valuable advice.

Out where I am they are not allowing inter-provinicial travel. I have no idea re your route but excellent chance you'd be turned back at some point unless you have documentation of a very compelling reason...and even then, maybe

And rumor has it there will be a full nationwide lockdown starting Friday.

that is 968 kilometer round trip.

12 hours and 15 minutes of driving not including stops.

you will pass through a minimum of 10 provinces EACH WAY. and each one will most likely have a border checkpoint and checkpoints at the city limits of each of the 10 cities you are likely to pass thorough.

This sounds exciting. would you please stream to facebook live?

I haven't seen a car tire shootout or smashed windows and driver reefed from the wheel lately ....
