But,  this is not about me ????      This bloody thread has turned into some kind of vendetta

against Yinn .   I mean, one or two comments, ok,  but it really has gone beyond that and the

main protagonists have really shown a level of immaturity that even makes me blush.

I know perfectly well, since there was a time i had a major disagreement with her......  sometimes she

is not an easy person to have a dialogue with.   But,  she is 27 ,  and basically standing up to some attacks which she feels are thai bashing.  Sometimes i agree, sometimes not.

But the "adults" ,  3 or 4 of them here,  that are having a kick at trashing her are .... if i can borrow her thoughts...... just being stupid .   Grow up boys,  and move on to other subjects.

I tell the mods already I NOT care about it. I not sensitive, not snowflake, I understand this the mostly man foreigner forum. Up to them.

Say whatever. I not care. Quite funny some old guys obsession me. I think they have MM. They really hate me (never meet together)

Yes I supported Yinn to balance the onslaught from the fearsome old fossils and others which I thought considering the way she was treated she handled exceptionally well

What do mean by this quote? Far above average what?

Good quality.

And not malcontent.

Fair play to @Yinn she takes some abuse and stays calm... If I was on a Thai forum taking the hammering she gets, I'd have just bailed... Sometimes she deserves a wake up call but credit for stamina....

Of course Yinn thanks, I knew where you were located, just a little lazy, pulled the name from memory on the spur of the moment - which on this occasion was close, but not quite close enough RaNong ok got it.

Home is where the heart is @Rotweiler

I go back to Vancouver once per year to visit family, but Thailand has been my home for nearly 20 yrs. Is it perfect? No. But the Canada I grew up in and still love has been slowly disappearing. I have had a few minor bad experiences/inconveniences in Thailand for sure, but for the most part it has been largely positive. If one gets to know their neighbours and build a local social network, it is easy sailing here. It is also safe IMO. But like any place, if one hangs around unsavoury types, expect unsavoury events to follow. IMHO, long-term expats have learned to take everything in stride and enjoy the positives and accept the negatives. The moaners that cry, "Back in my <insert country>, we do it this way..." reminds me exactly why I came here in the first place as a younger man: to experience a different way of life and living.

Nah. Although I love younger women, mine is in her early 30's now, and is still really lovely. And I am getting older too. Her other qualities mean alot more to me now, than ever before. So, I think I will be just fine. Heart and soul, a great companion, and loving being with someone count for alot, especially when she is as amazing as she is, on a consistent and daily basis. Even with the best of the best, I never experienced her level of emotional consistency back in the US. Never even close.

If you are happy who cares and it's no ones business. I prefer changing models and being single but, my choice.

It'll be a black one..Rhumy.. with "Special Ops-Hua Hin Squad" in bold lettering with the motto "Post much and Die!" on the doors.

We are doing okay.

My wife lost her job 5 weeks ago-but so did a hell of a lot of other people..

The Aussie/Thai group in my area stays strong and supportive of each other.

I like Ranong, when I first came here years ago I would do my re entries there for my multi entry visa as its not that far but now we go there for there a short break, the farmhouse restaurant does a brilliant steak, the night market is pretty good too and there is some good day trips in the region. We have done a few family trips there now as its not too long a drive from Surat Thani as well as a couple of government trips(DMR) due to my wife's work.

Me too... Lovely drive from Surat once you get off the highway..

We went for couple nights last time I was back. Found a great little coffee shop on the drive over through the mountains, Momento Coffee Roasters...

Stayed at a lovely little place in town that was about 600 baht a night..

The hot springs were a treat, even with the dual pricing but 100 baht isn't expensive for what you get..
