drinking double too

no more gym, home workouts can get <deleted>

I'm walking 15000 a day compared to 15000 before, I agree with home workouts, no motivation for them, become tedious quick.

The sales of antidepressants and suicide rate will spike. Just as  alcoholism and abuse. Is a lockdown really worth those consequenses?

The alcohol ban was a very wise decision. In respect of the lockdown - there would have been consequences too if they wouldn't have done it.

We have been in lockdown since the kids school holidays started, albeit I would get out 3 nights a week to the locals for a few drinks, some socialising and the like until 20 March when they shut them down.

It is starting to take its toll, 4 kids and a wife who look after themselves entertainment wise, although we have pulled everything back till after lunch for them as we see the change in them and want to bring them back to mainstream life, no iPad/Tablet.Netflix/TV/Mobiles etc et etc till after 1pm and lights out at around 9pm for the younger girls and 11pm for the teenage boys.

If Prayut wants to keep us under control for longer, that is going to backfire IMO, he should start loosening the chain with conditions, e.g. wearing of masks in public places mandatory till further notice, checking of temperatures before entering stores, sanitizing of hands, open the parks, open the shopping centres and the food courts, restaurants, cinema's bars etc etc, but have strict provisions in place and get your lazy police force out there and enforce fines for non compliance, oooops, forgot where I was again for a moment.

I think you have to let people do what they are going to do, that said, they don't have a competent police force here to enforce the laws, they are as lazy as f IMO.

yes .... the alcohol ban was to instill the canned Songkran, so as to ensure no drinking and partying took place. The lockdown is primarily to quell the COVID-19 virus transmission and infection rate and I believe it is working. The balancing act is the virus infections/transmission vs economy fallout effect.

Khun Prayut Chan O Cha ( imo ) has and is successfully minimizing the risk of infections with the lockdown in place. Not everyone agrees with these decisions, but obviously they are necessary. Thanks.

They can't open places like bars where no social distancing is possible. And I think they will not do it for a while. In my opinion the Thai government did a great job so far. Especially if I look at western countries and what is done there.

Strangely I never missed the closed bars, massage parlors, or smiling whores.

Come to think of it, I don't much like crowds either...

Nicer to stay home with a hot cup of tea and read a book, listen to music, catch up on some TV... Schedule a good brisk 20 minute walk every morning before breakfast and again after 6pm to get the blood pumping. I must say the air quality is excellent and smells so much better.

as i like to say, "i'm very lazy"

Too damn lazy to find a cure for C19

Its just great not having to check the air quality every morning before going for a run. Miss getting on the beach though.

Anyway, for the OP, you are not in quarantine, not even in a strict lock down compared to some European countries.

For me this lock down has one positive going for it

Before it began my neighbour  would arrive home blind drunk every night, cant blame him for that, with his wife I would do the same.

Anyway the yelling and cursing would start soon after and continue for hours.

Now when they wake up its a quick screaming match then all quiet till the next day, :jap:
