Ban durian...I bloody well hope not, I love it!

This years durian is terrible in CM. 6-7 times already and only 2 were acceptable delicious. Maybe something about the drought. Yes when it is good it is wonderful, but not this year!

Salted Dried Durian Chips

I was tricked into trying them (I only check my dried snacks to make sure they're free of legs and wings) and became instantly addicted. I'm now waiting for government assistance.

Wrong forum. Pub and fun is that.

As I say: Covid spreads wireless and causes mental problems.

Eating should be forbidden in total. Requires mask off!

Can anyone explain why Durian is so expensive ??

It's actually cheaper than usual due to tourism being down. Price is driven up by Chinese demand.

I think it's a bit like Vegemite, an acquired taste. I've only tried it once, couldn't understand what the fuss was about. Tasted like very mildly acid grapefruit. The side effect was my breath stank like an open sewer for about four hours afterwards. Not surprised it's banned in hotels.

I have never eaten it, the smell was enough ! The wife loves it but says she refuses to pay the crazy price for it currently. She is banished to garden when she does get some. Her plan now is to grow her own. ????????

We have a tree, it had 3 tiny durians this year but they all dropped some days later.

The good ones,  you can buy them in China. They have been exported.

If that's a joke, you'll have to explain it to me, because I can't see any relevance to the thread.
