Why has Trump failed to disclose that his administration had stopped the funding in 2019 to the American coronavirus research lab that is located in Wuhan, China which was set up in 2014 and fully funded since then by the American government and run by Dr Peter Daszak of Ecohealth Alliance Inc based in New York in America. Was the stopping of the funding the cause of the escape of this virus from an AMERICAN lab in Wuhan, China? Has this pandemic been caused by AMERICA? Don't see them championing China. Smarter than Trump likely. Trump impulsive instinctive style will not help him re-balance (not win) trade with China. China is more pragmatic, more patient and willing to play the long game. They simply deflect whatever the situation, throw out a carrot and have Trump think he is in a position of strength and then China deflect off to the side and pull the same stunt again and again. Trump got played because he is acting alone and not getting proper consultation from his hawkish ministers and allies. China know Trump's time in office is limited; whether 4 or 8 years is of no consequence to them. Trump is dumber in trade negotiation than he try to make you and his supporters believe.

Those who commented were not championing China but felt that his aggressive and antagonistic nationalism framing of his words will encourage and lead to racist actions by those disinhibited by the President's rhetoric and dog whistle. He is framing this as 'us vs them' and dangerously personalized a global situation. Of course most know that he is simply diverting attention from his mishandling of the pandemic.
