A BRIT has been left stranded on a remote snake-infested island for TWO MONTHS due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Natalie Poole, 35, is stuck on Kyun Pila, in Myanmar, with four others after the last boat off the island was suddenly cancelled.

The volunteer worker, from Ashburton, Devon, said she and her fellow castaways are now taking things  "day by day".

For the last two months they have been forced to survive with hardly any aid in one of the world's most isolated locations.

I'm a Conservationist get me out of here then ..

If they were China , Thailand would be opening the border and laying on a seafood buffet for them ..

It's not a deserted desert Island. There are obviously other people and resources on the island.

"The camp is about a 15-minute dinghy ride away from Awei Pila, the only resort on the island, which has closed because of the outbreak."  Why ride the dingy back and forth instead of camping nearer fresh water and resources?  Sound dramatic on purpose.

I remember visiting the Survivor supposedly, remote Island of Pulau Tiga, Sabah, Malaysia (Borneo), shown in the first series. I was amazed to see that if you walked through the trees from the Survivor Tribal House you came to a holiday resort with chalets. I can't believe that these people have a problem. Looks like another con like the Survivor TV series.

A better book would be How we survived Thailand lock down without alcohol  ????

could think of worse places to be stranded while on corona lockdown.

And THAT would certainly be worth a few baht for a hour or so of anecdotal mirth whilst holed up with an ice cold brew or two. I would most definitely pay for that entertainment. Let me know when you publish :cowboy:

Not far south of her, I'm also stuck on an island I share with scorpions, snakes, wild boar and monitor lizards.

It's called Phuket.

Unfortunately my island also has traffic, a lack of water, thieves, scammers corrupt cops, taxi drivers, etc. as well as a social media forum rife with pop up adds.
