Still today some owners and agents ask 2 months deposit. Absolutely refuse to give such amount because it's against the law.

I agree, I'd never agree to 2 months deposit, if landlord doesn't like it find somewhere else

Its illegal for HIM to turn water and electricity off, Why is he unhappy not to keep deposit? ,because he wants to keep the deposit and he wants the rent. regards worgeordie

Contact the Tourist Police, and explain your worries. Also him shutting off electricity/water is of course illegal. When they have had a word with him, he will for sure sing a different tune

Not convinced its the landlord that started being troublesome. Can't raise ฿ 5,000 for the agreed rent after just a couple of months seems odd?

Living in Thailand with a pregnant girlfriend and running low on money, can´t pay the rent. How are you thinking, man? What was your idea? How are you going to afford raising a child? Are you going to live on the street just to can afford food everyday?

Sure, I know it sounds and reads harsh, but it´s reality knocking on your door. You have made your bed, now you gottá set the blankets straight.

In an earlier thread (may 2019) that very same OP asked advice on how to best invest his 5.000.000 THB that were then gathering dust..  The moderators should close this thread as it is clear that the OP is not honest, and is wasting the time of TVF members responding to his probably made-up story...

Well, it does look a little like a troll thread, and maybe there is the odd other one on this site as well. But it is probably good for the owners as advertisers like to see plenty of action. But sometimes what looks like just a topic where bored people type away there is often a gem of information hidden within. Such a pity that one has to wade through several, and sometimes many, pages and then find that most of it has been a waste of time.

As the OP seems to have gone missing again I will close this topic up
