Bill Gates Warns of Likely Pandemic Within Next 25 Years
For someone that is supposed to be clever he seems quite dumb. For starters why would any of us on here care, as we will likely all be dead in 25 years? He seems to assume that nothing will have changed in a quarter century ie science will not have developed the ability to develop new vaccines rapidly. I'd be surprised if humans even survive that long without an engineered bioweapon war, a nuclear war, or simply die from thirst because all the fresh water dries up. He should do us all a favour and stop making OS that are not supported 25 minutes after release so everyone has to buy a later version that is worse than the one before and requires an update every 15 seconds. -

Digital Wallet Registration Results for Smartphone Users Indefinitely Delayed
Every Thai has ID which is unique. Simple Mysql database with 1 simple table having a unique key based on that ID is enough to prevent any double registration. Checks are automatic and done by Mysql internal mechanisms when adding new row to the table. No rocket science really. No need for manual labor then. -

Smart Home automations - anybody using?
Lots of devices from many manufacturers use ESP32 chips. And many of these devices can be flashed with ESPHome. I use those devices in my home automation with Home Assistant. I have a good 3d-printer, until now I didn't use it in combination with my home automation. It's a nice tool to have, but not necessary. -

Activist Mike Rayong leaves Thailand, citing safety and freedom
Since Thailand is not a democracy, with very, very small men, with a lot of power, who lack any vision, and insist on using draconian and outdated laws to stifle freedom of speech, and freedom of the press, the nation continues its backwards march into oblivion and irrelevancy. Not a good place to be if you are an outspoken activist. -

Ukrainian Woman and Friend Report Motorcycle Rental Scam in Pattaya
Seems not? Quite cheeky to report at police while in Jomtien a DJ without WP is handcuffed. Owning a business of any kind by a foreigner is not illegal. Where was it reported that she was working illegally as you both seem to be suggesting? -
