After more than two months, Thailand will get its first night on Sunday (June 14) without a curfew.

The government on Friday decided to lift from June 14 the night curfew imposed since March 26 as part of measures to control the Covid-19 outbreak.

Lifting of the curfew is one of the relaxations under phase 4 of the easing of the nationwide lockdown, published in the Government Gazette on June 12.

Personally, I wouldn't risk going/staying out tonight, as there's a certain amount of ambiguity. Could they mean from tomorrow (Monday) night, which is June 15th?

Anyway, I'll be in bed by 10pm! ????????

What good news is that? I don't know anybody that it affected, and if they were essential people it won't affect them anyway.

Letting farangs who are married to Thais and their children back into the country would be something to cheer about.

No curfew from tonight.:cheesy: I find that hilarious.

We have had motorbikes, pickups passing our gate every night, locals here have taken no notice what so ever of a curfew, just been business as usual.

...and then you woke up, realized you were sleeping in your military uniform again and that reality looks so different, from what you "anticipate"...

If u wanna be totally literal about it, the curfew should finish at 23:59 tonight and normality should resume at 00:01 hours Monday morning.

There is no such time as 00:00

What curfew? Let's get people back home first without all the ridiculous and overly expensive provisions put in place by Thai immigration...

I'd prefer people coming into the country to no bring the WuFlu with them and I hope the expensive provisions put in place by the government stay for a long time.

In the middle of nowhere, the police tend to be relaxed. In the Bangkok you have different rules

I've yet to see any police in the middle of nowhere.

Outside of Udon city they flatly refuse to turn up at night for fear of being attacked by irate locals (two separate occasions in our case).

I remember Colin Neil has also failed to get the police to come out at night.

Really?  So midnight no longer exists according to your new rule?

The curfew finishes at 00:00 and normality starts at the same time.

What curfew is this? Oooh, that curfew. It's been a long time since I went wandering about in the middle of the night, boring old me. The curfew had exactly zero effect on my lifestyle. Went swimming today for the first time in months, ah, that was nice. Yeah, the thing I really need is access to the UK, haven't visited in years but being cut off had a psychological effect

have fun but do not let your guard down. still advised to observe social distancing and wearing mask for safety.

That means Sunday the 14 you have to be home by 11pm then wait until 12:01am and you can go back out again

Oh joy of joys! At last I can be out on the streets again every night between 11pm and 3am - you know, like every good citizen should have the right to. ????????????

But then again, why would I when all pubs, bars, discos, karaoke places and "traditional" massage parlors remain closed anyway?

So what you're saying, if I read you correctly, is "I've got mine and I couldn't care less about anybody else'.

That seems....what's the word....selfish.

I'm not in their position, but I have empathy for those stuck outside Thailand who are currently prohibited from rejoining their loved ones in Thailand. It's been almost 3 months of pain and anguish.

But you've got yours, so to hell with everybody else, right?

Call it what you like but I certainly do not wish the catch the WuFlu and every person allowed entry and not detained in isolation increases the chances of second wave.

Those stuck outside the country will be allowed to return in due course, if part of that allowance is an expensive isolation well the open the wallet....or don't bother coming back.

Up to you as the saying goes.

I like the curfew.  no crime, less noise.  no stupid kids racing their bikes.  Ladyboys will be happy to work the beach again  ????
