Like or not they know they'll have no choice but to open bars and pubs, if they don't they can forget

about tourists to turn up.

• No service personnel or public relations representatives are allowed to sit with customers.

And still the need to ask...

Just go to makro buy yourself a case of Chang 790 baht for 12 bottles and sit by the pool turn the music on and get your wife or gig to dance around the pool serving your beer, save yourself a fortune

The problem with this calculation is that the dancing wife or gig costs extra. In respect of a wife - you might not save a fortune but it could cost you a fortune.

Only if she finds out about the gig...

 Only eating and drinking is allowed;

I am guessing this will be one way to stop smoking at all bars and restaurants,,,,,I know this wont be popular...but I sure like it.

For the number of replies, there is a real pent up demand from the Pub (assume mostly Brits) to BS from their bar stool. I think we should herd them all into restricted areas where they can be controlled.

Don't let them out in public.

I wonder if the bars that became restaurants will become bars again.

It would seem they have more freedom as restraunts.

If you look at this poster on the rules, the one on top right column only requires that performers have to wear a face shield. Go-Go bars can breath a sigh of relieve. lol

Turning pubs into hospital wards - managed hospital wards.

Great idea. Turn pubs into hospital wards, then you could give the patrons boose by IV. They could still ring the bell and everyone would get an extra shot. They are all sick anyway so why not?

Ah, I see the rise of Western-style "table dancing" where a selected girl brings a portable platform and sets it up 6' from you and gives you a 'personal dance' for closer inspection. This would run you $10-$20 per dance at the time. Any touching would result in a beating and being tossed. Soooo much fun!

Depends on who is doing the beating, I suppose.

Rule 23, ignore rules 1-22 as quickly as possible. We've been locked away to long and forgotten Thai's willingness to totally disregard anything the laws and regulations stipulate.  Of the 100,000 bars and clubs, 98,000 would be almost soley for Thai patrons, there's zero chance these rules will be followed across the country. Pattaya, Phuket, Bangkok maybe a few days at best while the BIB get the cash reserves up.

Interesting, that you can catch the virus by talking or laughing loudly. That's a new one.

Actually load talking (yelling) and laughing spread droplets. That's what happened at the Lumpini boxing stadium.

I can see the girls objecting to that one!  ????

You surely must be one of most boring posters on TVF. Most guys living here are not hoping for bars to open to find wife. If your looking use dating app.

Personally I'm looking forward to places like Night train market open up. 90% Thai folk in the bars. Open air good food and very chilled. Maybe one arvo drop into stumble Inn Soi 4 for chill and maybe chat to random punter. Go Australia bar Soi 11 watch some sport.

I notice your posts every day and you lower the bar.

Well said mate!!

Not allowing them to open is pure sadism at this point. People need to work. I don't remember the army offering to pay their rent. Covid is gone from Thailand.

Can't walk around or talk loud in a bar? Who makes this stuff up?

This sounds like so much fun! I can't wait to go! This is complete foolishness and won't last for long. I did notice that were were no restriction on the "staff" leaving with a customer after the bar fine is paid! HAHAHA

Not sure I saw any of those 22 rules being enforced on Suk 33/1 last weekend.

Staff were wearing masks.

Well at least now and then in the Royal Oak.
