Have you noticed, that when you go to KFC or order online, that you can only order extra crispy chicken? Stadtler likes the Colonel's original recipe.  He was mortified and aggravated when he found out that he can only order his fried-chicken one way.

 

Stadtler found a manager at his local chicken shack and asked why this is the case. 

 

COVID-19 was the answer from the very stoic and somewhat bewildered manager.  "Covid-19" blurted Stadtler with a grimace as if the manager had let out a ripping fart. 

 

Yes, covid-17 (Biden moment) was the answer.  "You can hab your original recipe maybe 2 months," said the flustered manager.

 

Who can enlighten Stadtler further?

I maybe have KFC once a month at most but slightly hungover the other day I had an irresistible urge for greasy ORIGINAL KFC chicken. I tried to order on my phone, couldnt see Original, tried FoodPanda and Webbrowser, no find !

 

Popped into KFC when passing at a Tesco on the weekend and ordered a 99thb 2 piece meal, Original style ......"NO HAVE", I like spicy food but not spicy KFC, they sold me a "little spicy" 2 piece set that was crunchy like it had been coated in Frosties.

 

Dunno why, maybe lower trade/customers cos of the Covid so stick to core business ie Thai ....

 

I do hope it's just a KFC passing phase. Won't be going back to KFC until Original returns, Texas Chicken might have to try in the not too distant ...

 

 

 

 

 

Dont eat fried food a lot ,but do like KFC always original chicken thigh and the wife likes original chicken legs ,neither of us like the spicy crunchy chicken .

No one has amused Stadtler with an explanation as to why they will not serve Original Recipe due to the WUHAN Two-Step Klung Flu Virus.

 

What could be their logic?

Probably a disruption to the global supply chain due to Corona virus.  I am sure the original recipe ingredients all come from the same sawdust factory, whereas the Thai spicy ingredients are probably sourced locally.

 

And Stadtler's insistence on referring to himself in the third person makes his posts extremely irritating and grating to read.  Habitual Illeism is normally not regarded as being a positive trait in a person.

I was told they cant import the necessary ingredients to make it by our local KFC due to the virus restrictions, makes sense really if they cant get it from overseas, I have found that many thai shops never re order anything when they are getting low or carry a good stock of it, they usually wait till they run out first  as has happened here, thais carry all the necessary spice for hotter style food. Have you ever tried buying all spices/herbs you used in the west, it can be very daunting, I have to get mine sent from Australia(Herbies) as I just cant get them in Thailand

The only thing I can imagine that is more disgusting than the kfc they call chicken here is having it delivered half warm.

Or they had a reglar delivery that was not met because of the restriction. 

 

Kfc is not a simple thai shop. If the Supply chain was severed due to covid transport issues how would you expect supply to be met?

No problems here in the UK.  I don't consume much junk food but last weekend our local KFC opened for takeaway and I was passing so queued up and ordered a boneless banquet.  The UK KFC chips are pretty good, too.

Stadtler does not use "himself" to refer to Stadtler.  Please see the pronouns below and try to follow them.

The spicy chicken is horrible. I eat the original just for the skin and not the chicken lol.

I will agree tried the spicy once ,bloody awful ,never again ,mind you they would go broke if they relied on customers like me.

I doubt it is a supply chain issue due to covid because cargo planes/ships were in operation all the time.

It's not the same, I met the Colonel in 1972 in Oz, that was when we used the pots! In later years I continued to work for KFC and the recipe for original never changed! The reason original died in Thailand is because the stores never tried to sell it, that, along with the habit of Thai's filling their trays with a litre of ketchup (because it is free?) may cause Yum foods in the future to rename the brand to "pull a chair up to the trough" chicken!

With the USA's finicky Agricultural Department, there could be some shipping problems with food items shipped overseas. 

Forced to buy more extra crispy, Stadtler has had the "runs" for two days.  Mrs. Stadtler is ready to move to a hotel temporarily until after the Colonel's revenge finishes.

Stadtler is a Trump supporter.  Stadtler comes from a very well connected high society family.  Stadtler's lineage is almost equal to the royals in England as he shares relatives Queen Elizabeth.  Stadtler needs a proper English Title.
