Yes, thanks. After researching it seems some fermentations do produce small amounts of methanol and it is also produced in a reaction with stills made from e.g. aluminium (bootlegger type stills). In distillation you also discard the initial lighter fraction which would contain any methanol. It seems it is also wittingly or unwittingly added - presumably to increase potency. -

Istral do what they do now because they can, and you and me would had done the same (maybe Im not living in Israel) if we grew up there, or had a convictin for any reason they claim to do what they do. Day-to-day life in Myanmar
When in Yangon (March 2023) there were quite a few ATMs. In the airport was a line of 3 or 4 modern ATMs from Myanmar banks. My WISE card would not work in any of them, however my Thai Kbank ATM/Debit card worked fine. I was also able to use my UK MBNA credit card in a couple of western style restauarants in the city (to preserve local cash). -

I wouldn't think of a rapist. Probably no intention even to poison the girls but a horrible mistake during distillation. And it was far more than only ONE shot of "vodka". -
