Why has VFS reduced there opening times to Mon, Wed, Fri only.? nearly all businesses are operating normally in Bangkok.

Maybe their staff is just sitting there picking their noses all day with nothing to do. Same reason airlines don't fly to Thailand and out 5x a day anymore...

You could try asking them yourself. When you get an answer, let us all know:

This link only appears to exist for the purpose of delivering one-way feedback to VFS, not for posing questions and expecting meaningful answers in reply.

In any case, my understanding is that we are only permitted to make direct contact with the VFS offices in Bangkok and Chiang Mai by email for the purposes of making appointments for the submission of passport renewal applications. The OP will, I think, therefore need to put his question to HMPO back in the UK using their Passport Enquiries e-form:-

The good news is that he should receive a prompt reply, most likely from someone in the Customer Services section of HMPO's Liverpool office. The bad news, based on the experiences which have been reported on here of those who have attempted to contact them during the recent closures of the VFS offices in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, is that the answer which he receives will, in all probability, be of little, if any, relevance to the question which he has posed!
