Fan Blade Balancing Kit

Featured Replies

I need a fan blade balancing kit for an out of balance overhead fan.

Are they available from stores? Anyone know where I can get one in Pattaya?

I see they are available on Lazada but would like to buy today.

A DIY approach might be to tape (that peals off easily - like electric tape) a one baht coin (or two) to the top of each blade, in turn, until you find the sweet spot.  Then, use a more permanent tape to secure.

I would just drill a hole at the end of one of fan blade. And put a screw through it. You can then balance it by adding more nuts at screw.

//oh you mean overhead fan? then i don't know, I thought it's one of these cheap plastic stand fans

Yup ^^^, coins or washers and double-sided tape are your friends here.

None of that seemed to work and it is not out of balance on low speed. And low speed is fine, so I attack20200717_112254.thumb.jpg.eafa53e067ee5f3ce216e3e6e59df4e5.jpged the remote. A brilliant engineering solution. ????

so I attacked the remote.

What did this poor remote do to deserve being attacked?

BTW, a slight out-of-balance condition usually gets worse as the speed increases, or it could be the bearings being dry or worn.
