we're on our own to handle it,well if the eus antics so far are anything to go by just as well, think a swing to the right is in the post.........

The Australia solution is an option ....Maybe the U.K. have some small Island at purpose to put them on & to keep them there .?..Seems to work for the Australians ????

I think the discussion of illegal immigration and refugees/asylum seekers is best discussed in this thread:

Up to the United Nstions to go change those International laws ....

Good luck for that .... i guess you are in for a long " invasion " .....just as the E.U. is on the other Sea

Sending back those ..?

Some carry already several documents "order to leave the x territory ...." which they did by that way ....just following a legal order ..lawyers would claim ...

Extra problem is now U.K. is a third country ... so the before aliance treaty's are void ...especially 31 December ...

Inherent on ..."No deal brexit..."

You are on your own to handle it i  fear same as us E.U.

...?

They should put these in the puzzle section.

The UK's opt out of the Schengen zone, like the RoI's, is enshrined in the Schengen Acquis and hence EU law.

Both countries, or just the RoI now, could decide to opt in, but cannot be forced to do so. The RoI is unlikely to do so as it values the CTA more. Although with the Johnson/Cummings sell out of Northern Ireland and placing a border down the Irish Sea, who knows?

The UK's opt out of the Euro zone was likewise enshrined in EU law and we could not have been forced to join. Just as Denmark who also opted out cannot be forced to join.

It is the Schengen zone and rules with it's open borders which has allowed a substantial number of refugees to reach the pas de Calais; true. But if you look at these UNHCR figures you will see that those arriving in the Pas de Calais and attempting to cross into the UK are a fraction of all refugees arriving in Europe.

Many of those who get to France stay and lodge their asylum applications there: 128,940 in 2019 (source) Compare that to the estimated 4000 who have crossed the channel so far this year. Take a lot more attempts in the 3 and a half months remaining to get anywhere near that figure!

The real second number is almost certainly higher than reported. If there are truly 48,000 people 'on hold' around the country then this does suggest that most of the migrants have been in country for several years already whatever, and that the chances of their repatriation are slim.

When "paperwork" accidentally falls overboard on the way over, then any previous applications elsewhere might not even matter.

Deal or no deal it really doesnt matter..... As someone who drove commercial vehicles between UK and mainland Europe from  the 1970s to 2000, I experienced the almost total removal of red tape....  to see it returning is beyond belief..... I dont think people realise what massive step backwards this is.

I think you'll find Yorkie bars may be cheaper after Brexit. "A campaign group has suggested that chocolate could go down if unilateral trade deals with chocolate producing countries such as Indonesia and Brazil could remove punitive tariffs imposed by Brussels on exports."

is that so? what a relief for the UK society

would have been more of a result if bars in Yorkshire became cheaper . . . . .

What's your guide dogs name....?  ????

Unlike barstool experts like you and your mate I don't need a guide in London. It's a city I know very well having at various times lived there, as well as socialising working all over Greater London, inner and outer boroughs, for much of the last 50 years!

Rejoice! The benefit of the UK leaving the EU is finally revealed. Now if only Brexiters had mentioned this in the first place, all this hurt could have been avoided.

....and don't forget the black passports made in France!!!!

Really, I was a cab driver in London, also a heavy goods vehicle driver in London, I lived in London for 50 years, so, I think you should retract your bar stool stuff eh.....????

There are different shades of blue, very light to very dark, other countries have a lighter blue, UK has a very dark blue, as my link pointed out. But, if you want to call black, fine....????...

"A campaign group has suggested!" Which campaign group?

The EU does not, indeed cannot, impose tariffs on any country's exports. It can, and does, impose tariffs onto imports into the EU. Just like all trading countries or blocs.

Punitive tariffs on chocolate? Well: https://www.confectionerynews.com/Article/2019/09/04/Fact-checking-site-counters-pro-Brexit-claim-on-cocoa-tariffs debunks the World for Brexit lie of a 30% tariff, quoting the WTO saying that the average EU tariff on cocoa products, including chocolate, is 8%. Yet another pro Brexit lie.

Instead of ridiculous comments like these, why not deal with the issue raised in @Airbagwill's post?

Simple; you can't. Like all the massive damage Brexit will cause this country, you bury your heads in the sand whilst repeating Cummings' mantra of "Project Fear, Project Fear."

But I believe Islamic terrorists are Muslims, you don't, so there....????

 Really?

Odd, then, that not only do you know so very little about London but also feel free to insult lorry drivers!

I won't retract my bar stool stuff, you may have lived in London for 50 years, but your knowledge of London in the present day is obviously severely limited.

Plus, of course, your attitude expressed here

shows how little you really care about the UK and the dire effects of Brexit.

Yet again you are completely unable to offer even the slightest refutation of an argument so you have to resort to this false accusation.

I wont bother asking you yet again where I posted this nonsense, we both know you can't answer because I never have.

So what did you mean when you responded to @Airbagwill's post about the difficulties facing lorry drivers leaving and entering the UK post Brexit and saying that it was a massive step backwards with the dismissive

Are you now saying it was a compliment?

I have said on many occasions something along the lines that my Muslim friends have told me that Islamist terrorists do not represent them nor the vast majority of Muslims.

I have never said that Islamist terrorists are not Muslims. To do so would be akin to saying that the IRA aren't Irish!

It is not up to me to prove a negative by searching for posts which don't exist. You claim they do, prove it or admit you're wrong.

Think you are scraping the barrel chap. Any HGV job requires paperwork, part of the job, and my reply was pointing out. Ships require loads of paperwork, part of the job, in fact most jobs require paperwork, so what's your problem...?
