Hua Hin: Joyous Liverpool fans celebrate team's first title in 30 years

Hua Hin was the latest place in Thailand that fans of the English Premier league club Liverpool celebrated their team's first top flight triumph in thirty years. 

 

Local dignitaries and the head of "The Kop Hua Hin" fan club set off a parade of thirty vehicles around the seaside resort starting and finishing at the Khao Takiap football stadium. 

 

It was the day after Jurgen Klopp and the Reds received the EPL trophy after defeating Chelsea 5-3 at a deserted Anfield. 

 

The Reds supporters in Hua Hin had spent several tens of thousands of baht on a foreign made replica EPL trophy that was paraded along with a Champions League replica. 

 

Liverpool also won that competition last year defeating Spurs in the final in Madrid, Spain. 

 

On Sunday celebrations were held in Yala in the south and Khon Kaen in the north east of Thailand.

 

Liverpool and Manchester United are both very well supported in football crazy Thailand, notes Thaivisa.
