Dash Camera and Parking Sensor - Recommendation - Pattaya

Featured Replies

I have an MG5.  It already has a backup camera with a parking sensor but no front sensors which would be nice since the front bumper is low to the ground.  I would like to install a Dash Camera for Front and Rear.

Does someone have a recommendation as to a good brand, and where to get installation done in Pattaya?

The Best quality: BlackVue. But they are fairly expensive (Front and rear facing)

The Best value vs quality: Xiaomi 70mai Pro (well priced, front facing only).

Also... Xiaomi Micia DDPai X2S (front and rear)

Considerations for dash-cam.

- Locked recording ? (shock sensor - lock in ‘event’ files)

- Power Source ? (hard wired into fuse box or 12v plug)

- Front and rear facing ?

- Parking mode ? (needs hard wiring and power protector)

- Cloud storage ?

- Screen ? (or Wifi to phone to view settings and video)

Installation: Any installation is a very simple process and can be easily done yourself, even if you are not a practical person at all.

12v plug installation is very simple - its a matter of plug & Play and hiding the wires (tucking them behind the roof lining and A pillar etc).

Hard wiring into a fuse box (with a fuse tap) is slightly more complex, especially if using a ‘power protector’ to prevent battery drainage if the cam has a parking mode, but is still easy (plenty of youtube videos can assist).
