Popular Post webfact
Prayut orders all state agencies to be ready to deal with new threats, emergencies By The Nation File photo Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has ordered all state agencies to be ready for crises and has put the National Security Council in charge of the job, deputy government spokesperson Ratchada Thanadirek said on Friday. Though some training has had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the authorities have held three national crisis-management exercises, namely: • Training in disaster management related to smog and forest fires in Chiang Mai province. • Training in the preservation of national marine resources. • Training on tackling terrorism. Agencies were tested on their response plan to identify strengths and weaknesses, as well as building knowledge and understanding of disaster management mechanisms and processes before and after the incident as well as at the scene. The training also focused on the rehabilitation and restoration of communities or areas after solving the problem. Future training sessions will address problems, obstacles and experience gained from previous training stints. They may also include dealing with emerging diseases as well as prevention and suppression of the smuggling of weapons of mass destruction by land or water. This should make Thailand ready to respond to new threats as they arise. Popular Post ThailandRyan
I thought that the Chinese Covid and the wrecking ball they brought with them to the country that destroyed the economy, made millions unemployed,, and shut the borders was an emerging disease and a weapon of mass destruction but then I guess I just think to mutt. 5 1 1

Popular Post soalbundy
What does he know that we don't? The government of Thailand preparing for an eventuality in the future is scary, it is like watching a dog do the tango on its hind legs, it isn't done well but one is surprised to see it being done at all.

Enzian
As soon as we broke up earlier this year my ex bought a house near Chiang Mai; I wasn't surprised at all since she wanted to do it earlier but for my constant veto. There's no way I have confidence that the government will put a dent in the dangerous pollution that that area suffers from every winter season. poohy
I wouldn't be to concerned about forest fires, more like the "other emergencies" that might manifest themselves later this month.

Popular Post Redline
So, did they rate themselves honestly on these drills? As there is little enforcement or penalties for burning, no success is plausible, and tourists will no longer come to breath toxic air on their holidays. Thailand was falling apart before COVID~I think people forget this. 1

I believe not a single undeclared golfball has entered the country due to his purchase of this highly advanced equipment.

I was in Koh Samui when it was flooded. And it was the Thai army that came up with helicopters full of care-packages when we had to flee on the roofs. It was the Thai army that threw down blankets for the freezing natives in Chiang Mai. And btw, it was the American and British armies that saved locked-in West Berliners from starvation. It's a shame that these Germans today never say "Thank you" 1

It amazes me that some expats living in Thailand know so little and have so little curiosity about its history. I totally understand that some people don't like reading books but, these days, you can also get high-quality, well-presented information from sources such as YouTube and Wikipedia. The modern history of Thailand is fascinating and genuinely entertaining. I highly recommend investing even just a few hours into learning about what really happened. At a time when laughs are in short supply, it will brighten your day every time you see a Thai general with a chest full of medals. 2

Mmmmmm, i wonder where that went ? British lads and others saved some kids in a cave.... Thai Army tried to claim credit for it...... Ooops.... Lots of people volunteered to help in the tsunami, some where stopped for not having a work permit..... Figure that one......
