Driving License with 90 day O Visa?

Featured Replies

I have the initial 90 day non-Immigrant O visa that I plan on changing to one year O visa in 2 months. Do I qualify now for a driving license under “residency certificate” or must I wait?

You can get a driver's license with your non-o visa entry.

Moved to here for more input.

Due to Covid-19, currently all driver license activities have been suspended until further notice.

Not true. DLT is open for all

Unless things have changed you can get a 2 year licence, when that runs out you can get a 5 year licence on long stay O- visa or extension of..

Is it true, after 1 year you can apply for an International Driver's License?

It's not a license it's a permit, and you can get it if you have a 5 year Thai license.
