It would certainly make sense that the Thai thug was triggered by something the Russian did or said. 

Is there any non-confrontational trigger which justifies the violent actions of the Thai ???

 

The Russian hanging around is clearly a foolish move, especially as he was with his daughter - but that doesn’t justify the attack.

 

Such people [as the Thai thug] have such a short fuse the trigger could have been anything. He was so unable to control himself he escalated his own anger when shouting and built himself up into a frenzy - its common for such people to find themselves in a violent situation over minor innocuous incidents. 

 

[You doubt he left home that evening with the intention of head-butting people] - its also quite possible that he leaves home each evening knowing some form of confrontation is probable given his obvious thin-skinned and unstable nature.

Stupid thing to say.  Russia is far far from the old now decades ago totalitarian USSR and does have in fact a better true democratic electoral system and culture there today than the childish shambles we saw in the USA elections last week and the awful undemocratic first past the post system in my own country the UK,  where we often see 40% minority voted for parties get a landslide victory and total control of the Government ddespite 60% voting against them, yes a real joke !!

Fortunately after happily living here for the past 17 years I must honestly say that I do not find the vast majority of Thai people agressive at all a trait far more prevalent in the west for sure, especialy the USA and UK today. But nothing excuses the Thai guy for head-butting the Russian. Any attempt at minimising the incident because one guy is Thai and the other is Foreign is just outright wrong. As a long time resident but non-Thai I know better than to publicly argue my point of view . And so should Mr. "I Have An Opinion" . Take your daughter away from this stress and go for a walk. No ambulance needed for a bloody nose - just a bag of ice and some sparse sympathy from the foreign whinger.

There’s a balance and this Russian clearly exceeded that and placed himself and his daughter in the line of risk - that still doesn’t warrant an attack. 

 

 

Whether Thailand is our country or not does not detract from the basic human right not to be assaulted. Replace the Russian with Thai man, would him being head-butted be more or less justified in the eyes of those placing the blame at the feet (or rather nose) of the Russian - assault is still assault.

Two clowns resulting in one headbutting the other.

Language looks a factor, but can't understand why the Russian was hanging around, when the well mannered Thais were trying to get him to walk away. He had enough warning and his daughter was already anxious.

The Ruski liked the attention afterwards, strutting around with his pithy wound. I suspect he did say something to upset the assailant.. but did he mean to? He looked a couple of sarnies short of a picnic basket.

They probably both got what they deserved, if the police actually charged the head butter.

I didn't see any foreigner misbehaving, only a Thai.

Also a Thai lady misbehaving earlier in the video.

There are some Thais that would shoot a foreigner for making the hand gestures that she was.

 

Hopefully the Thai will be arrested and forever banned from running for office.

I thought Thai culture demanded the young show respect for the old?
