Quick question, do Thai people need to pay for quarantine if coming to Thailand for a holiday?

My gf's aunt lives permanently in Germany.

She believes that she will get free quarantine, I thought that was only if they were being repatriated.

If they go into state quarantine it is free. Any Thai returning to here is considered as repatriating.

Yes correct, but there are strong rumours that SQ is ending in January 2021

Hi, Joe, do you know of an insurance company quoted on TV that supports monthly payments that can be cancelled without penalty. And will the new 45 day visa on arrival require covid insurance or both health insurance and covid, many thanks.

Really? I suspect that one day in the near future free state quarantine for Thais will end.

Thais will be made to pay their way, especially if they have left the country since the spring time lockdowns when COVID was well underway.

No free lunch for them, leave during a time when anyone has to quarantine then that's your bill to pay.

Yes its only as I say a rumour, but it has to end sometime. Thais are now abusing it. I have heard of many in the UK using SQ for a visit and then going back to the UK. Thais who work abroad are goinh backwards and forwards using SQ. It has lost its meaning months ago. There should be no repatriation process for Thailand now.
