Came across this place, not in Udon Thani but Loei, we stopped to look and some were not bad with a steel frame and two bedroom, i think the two bedroom  with breeze way open area kitchen and bathroom was 700,000.

I know there is a company located on the Mitraparp road from Udon to Khonkaen that sells houses like these, and if my memory serves me right there was also a seller on the other side of the road.

Yeh they do seem expensive, compared to concrete the only advantage i can see (excuse the pun) is that you can knock 'em down and move it elsewhere.

Termites? Breakfast cereal wood? I reckon he wants the full cultural experience.

Agree with the knockdown houses. You can get em fitted with electric wiring, lights, air con, bathroom with hot water, toilet, and sink, for under 150k.
