How much for COVID test?

Featured Replies

I am just wondering how much for a COVID test for a foreigner?  My son is a Thai citizen and has a dry cough, how much is the test for him?

Thanks.

If he is a Thai citizen then he is not a foreigner.

free at a government hospital - but not done on demand, only if they think he meets criteria for a suspect case.  Which if he has only a dry cough, nothing else and no history of high risk contacts/travel, he might not

In Bangkok, can do at Thai travel clinic for 3,500 Baht (Thai or foreigner)

Thankyou. 6000 baht is probably to expensive for me even if I had all the symptoms.

Considering the recent joke of government positives turning to negatives, I guess it's 7,000 to get two different ones  to make sure that positive isn't a negative.

those were rapid tests not PCR

Very little risk of false positive with PCR. False negative, yes

But in any case if you test positive a second test will be required - and you will cease to have any say in things.

The profit margin is sure going to be substancial. I would bet there are many pockets going to get lined.
