Sometimes I wake up and a melody with a line or two of lyrics from a song heard in the past is running through my brain. Such was the case this morning,

Brown-eyed women and red grenadine
The bottle was dusty but the liquor was clean
Sound of the thunder with the rain pourin' down
And it looks like the old man's gettin' on

Living in the sticks, riding my motorbike past countless rice fields gives me ample opportunity to sing along.. Wondering if other posters often have the same experience- flashbacks of songs.

This song takes me all the way back to Radio Veronica and Radio Noordzee.

Under the covers late at night listening while i was supposed to be sleeping.

I had a very small blue transistor radio but it always sounded good to me.

Here is another one out of that era.

The other music topic has been pretty quiet so please forgive me that i am

posting this one here.

If you do not like the music you can just watch the pictures.

i have been to some of the places where the pictures were taken.

At boarding school we had transistor radios with one ear phone. I did the same thing, tuning into Radio Luxembourg, or was it Caroline?, under the blankets after lights out. One night I listened to the whole of Abbey Road with Ringo talking through each track.

Happy Birthday to David Crosby

And to Maddy Prior

A great R'n'B riff from Dr Feelgood.

and from Rory

Love her version of The Stones number, No Expectations, uplifting.

Any Feelgood fans in the house?

I saw Dr. Feelgood @ Newcastle City Hall in 1975 and 1976. They were the BEST live band I have ever seen.
