Glad you enjoyed it.  Lots of great blues, R&B, and boogie woogie Christmas tunes out there.  Western swing, too, though I imagine one has to be partial to that kind of music to truly appreciate it.  Anyone who's spent time in those parts of the country can easily get hooked on the musical styles of the region as everything around you is flush with the ambience of the area and the music becomes a perfect fit.  That's what happened to me with mor lum.  Get me driving down the backroads up country and I'll roll the windows down blasting it.

Same here, bannork.  Zappa was a pioneer in his own way but the trail he blazed didn't appeal to me enough to follow on down.  However, once I had downloaded his discography and took the time to dig through it I found much material that was not so off the wall by my standards.  Consider these two cuts off oh his post humous release of live concert numbers issued in 2006, Imaginary Diseases.

Montreal from the live show at Montreal Forum, on October 27, '72, and D.C. Boogie performed at DAR Constitution Hall on November 11, '72.  The two numbers, just like the excellent tune you posted, are another side of Zappa which also accentuate and cement his status as an accomplished guitarist.  Wonderful works of art!

As with many live numbers a boost in volume will be appreciated by the two appendages on either side of ones head.  Perhaps your neighbors as well.  :neus:

Awesome tune with Clapton on guitar.  Forward a year to '67 for Double Trouble with Peter Green on guitar.  How lucky can one get to have two of the greatest guitarists in your band?

Peter Green and The Original Fleetwood Mac live in Boston in '70 performing BB King's If You Ever Loved Me.  Arguably one of Green's best guitar solos.

Here's an intriguing site I ran across . . . Albums That Should Exist.  I'm going to have to explore this.  In the meanwhile, I'll try a few cuts off of the Mayall Bluesbreakers feat. Peter Green fictional album.

Peter Green with John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers with a live performance of Freddie King's The Stumble found on the '67 Hard Road LP.
