'It's Coming on Christmas...'

Wow, nice Joni selection, bannork.  And it's in season.  Beautiful tune.  I've been posting Christmas music on the other thread all month and must add this one.  Still time left.  Christmas Eve tomorrow.  Thanks.

Apart from the album Band On the Run, the song Live And Let Die, I had trouble getting on with McCartney's work post Beatles.

Lennon's acid humour always appealed to me.

Then he wrote the most moving Christmas song ever.

Post Beatles my rating of their solo work is as follows:

1. Lennon

2. Harrison

3. McCartney

4. Ringo

Curved Air - Vivaldi

Well, JetsetBkk, no one can argue that it's not progressive, LOL.  Interesting.  I'll have to give them a listen.

And now for something completely different: "Diary" by Kelly Chen, a.k.a. Trần Tuệ Lâm.  (Girlfriend's favourite!)

Trần Tuệ Lâm - Nhật Ký

And the male to female reversal, I Never Loved A Girl (The Way I Love You) by Brian Auger, Pete York & Chris Farlowe ‎off of their '81 Olympic Rock & Blues Circus LP,

Drummers.  Who are your favorites and what songs accentuate their art?

No particular order for me but Ringo is definitely top notch.  The Beatles with Come Together off of their '69 Abbey Road album.

The Dave Brubeck Quartet with Joe Morello on what is considered one of the best jazz tunes of all time, Take Five, off of their '59 Time Out LP.  Morello's drum solo is brilliant.
