Cheapest available Covid-19 test + fit to fly certificate  in Bangkok? Leaving Thailand soon.

Anyone know?

I'm sure this has been discussed before, if anyone has a link to an old discussion thread on the topic?

Appreciated.

That is for required covid testing the list is not applicable to the Fit to Fly certificate required for entry to Thailand. Thailand appears to be unique in requiring a covid-19 negative test and a Fit to Fly certificate, signed by a Doctor. They are separate documents. I had to produce one to board my flight recently. One will not be necessary to leave Thailand.

Fit to Fly certificates as I have seen for years are for valid Medical reasons.

  • pregnancy beyond ?? weeks
  • Seriously ill patients and serious injury (people in casts and bandages)
  •  passengers who must travel with assistance

Regulations normally  require all passengers to sit upright for takeoff and landing

I used to fly 737s in an operation where we could block 9 economy class seats and put in a stretcher. Had to have a Fit to Fly, and at least one assistant. iIt's to tick that box and protect the airline from liability. Some of them didn't make it but nobody ever dies onboard????.

The US is now requiring proof of a negative Covid test for entry as well as allowing the Airlines to board you for a flight going into the US from an international location.

Effective January 26, 2021, the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is expanding the requirement for a negative COVID-19 test to all air passengers entering the United States.  Air passengers are required to get a viral test (a test for current infection) within the three calendar days before their flight to the United States departs and provide written documentation of their laboratory test result (paper or electronic copy) to the airline or provide documentation of having recovered from COVID-19.  This applies to all air passengers, two years of age or older, traveling into the United States, including U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents.  For further information, please refer to the CDC’s website for frequently asked questions regarding the order.
