Sounds to me like an excuse to cover the fact that Thailand is near the back of the queue for obtaining vaccines. If Thailand had a massive delivery due next week do you think we'd see this announcement?

23 old people already die in Norway from side effects from the so called Safe vaccines

None of these vaccines have been tested to the same standard as was previously required. Previous record was 4 years and these COVID ones haven't even got 12 months behind them. Anyone that claims to know what the long term consequences are is lying.

This comment shows a complete ignorance of how approval was achieved so quickly.

In my view on a topic of this sort on the forum ignorant, malicious and space wasting posts like the one above should simply be ignored or preferably deleted. If you have nothing worthwhile to contribute don't bother.Nobody is interested in "opinions" which have no substance in knowledge and evidence.

In a Thai lab, using thai equipment, bottled by a thai company complete with a thai logo stamped onto it.

I know why, because they CANT!!!

Of course governments talk about caring for their own citizens. All governments do that!

Strange that they are the only country reporting this.

Yes Fex, that is correct.

Looking increasingly like a wise decision after reading about all the problems with dozens of people dying after taking the dodgy Pfizer product that Trump rushed through.

I have always been more than satisfied with the first rate medical care in Thailand and the beautiful nurses and their little high heeled  white sneakers

Have a great morning ????

At last, a policy from the mouth of Prayuth that I totally concur with. Very sensible. Well done.

@Natai Beach, didn't you say Thailand was making their own vaccine that you were planning to take?

It's being made in conjunction and in association with AZ.  Just like all the other AZ jabs around the world.

Give me a break!  You're trying to save a little face for the totally embarrassing conflicting statements from you and your health minister a couple days ago.  You said you wanted the vaccinations fast while the same day your health minister said it would be June.  Oops. So now, it's hang on folks, let's not be hasty.  Let's go slooowly.   Those darn left and right hands not knowing what the other one is doing.

they were given the jab with complete knowledge this could happen.  They were mainly over 80, and very sick.  40 million jabbed so far.  These are the only casualties.  So yes, a very safe vaccine.  Don't spread misinformation.

The Thai Government needs a plan to get the Thai Chana QR Codes outside all businesses.

It is usually very difficult or impossible to find .

But the Chinese vaccine being deployed in Thailand in Feb is fully tested - more than Moderna or Phizer???

Oh pahlease...

All the vaccines so far have been proven safe.  Thailand isn't breaking any ground on how safe or unsafe they really are.  You are doing like the rest of the world - act like what we are, dogs on a leash.

REALLY. They have not all been proven safe, especially the Pfizer vaccine. Just look at the number of deaths around the world ( Norway most recently ) that have been proven to be a side effect of the Pfizer vaccine. Don't you think it's strange that the Pfizer vaccine is the ONLY one thus far that has caused people to die as a side effect, and there have been other negative side effect to this particular vaccine too. So for once cha cha is getting it right.

he is right on this one, probably because he was to slow to fork out money, never has there been a safe vaccine first up, so he counted on that as would I, Aust gov. have also they have canceled two or more even their own so there is a way to go yet

I've read quite a few reports on china vaccine,  more than 70 common side effects including deafness!  No thanks to that one

China is already sending a vaccine preview, this including Emphysema Pulmonary for free.

When you think about it, there isn't anything at all that Thais have invented or produced by themselves. Ever. Some might mention Red Bull which is available around the world, but it was just a local drink until an Austrian came along and not only made it palatable for non-Thais but marketed it internationally. Famous Thai silk? An industry rescued from obscurity by an American, Jim Thomson. Thai food? Largely based on Indian and Chinese. Except Som Tam and fermented fish. Thai industry is centred around putting together parts (as in cars or computer hard drives etc) that others have invented. Not very impressive for the self-proclaimed master race.

My thoughts exactly mate.

Everything here is copy & pasted.

Literally everything.

Great idea, but won't protect everybody and won't get this pandemic behind us.  The jab is the only solution we have right now.

The only prudent thing to do. I'm reading most vaccines take 10+ years!! God knows what they've overlooked.

https://coronavirus.nautil.us/until-now-whats-the-quickest-a-vaccine-has-ever-been-developed/

You should read up on why this jab was developed so fast.  Congrats to Bill Gates for investing $1 Billion.  He developed the foundation for the jabs we now have.  Thus, a very quick vaccine.  Nothing nefarious here...

Sure bet that many world governments have paid mightily in advance for vaccines that may be unsafe, useless or not thoroughly tested.

and these many world governments are not run by an unelected "PM" and a bunch of tinpot soldiers mostly with Military Academy educations.

Ummm....40 million jabs and only Norway having problems?  You should read up on why that happened there.

Stop with the misinformation.  It doesn't help.
