So I purchased a new Sharp TV online with shipped. The delivery etc excellent.

When setting up which is pretty much dummy proof there seemed to be no option to have english language. The condo provides assistance for these things. An off-site tech guy had a go but with no joy.

Any suggestions welcome.

As a second unrelated question....I have a townhouse (rental) and a tv will will be going in Level 1 (ground floor). There is no antenna socket in walls. Any suggestions on options available. The roof top is level 4 so not keen of a cable from there down to level 1.

Any advice very much appreciated.

The lesson is not to buy things online without assessing what you are buying first.

My Samsung TV has a settings section to change the language.

We have 5 Sharp TVs of various flavours and sizes, all bought in Thailand, all have English menu available.

The menus differ slightly of course but "language" is always behind the "setup" or "options" icon which looks like a gear wheel with a USB plug next to it. "Language" is the bottom option on our TVs.

Which model do you have?

You are hoping to hook up to a rooftop arial ? Why not just get a nice small android box and internet connect...over the air signals won't give you much joy
