Pattaya Expat Clubs

Featured Replies

I have signed up a while ago for newsletters for 2 clubs, Pattaya Expat Club and Pattaya City Expat Club. Both seem to have regular meetings if they can, both offer some level of services through their members... but what is really the difference between these clubs, anybody know, maybe somebody who joins both clubs?

Just wondering about any benefits joining the one or the other or maybe both. Can not see any such benefits from the mails only

Out of interest: What do you expect?

I understand when people join a tennis club or chess club or something with a special interest in mind. But an expat club?

I would say the Expats Club is more popular with UK and Oz Expats, and The City one the USA guys seem to like more. But of course both are attended by quite a cross section of Nationalities. The Expats meet at the Amari, the City, at the Holiday Inn. Expats are restarting meetings on Tuesdays as of tomorrow,  The City I believe is Sunday and seem to be a little more 'strict' , no talking while the speaker is talking and the meals are served rather than it being help yourself buffet as per the Amari, . I know many who go to both clubs, nice opportunity to meet similar people with similar interests.

The benefits are increased social contact,  and if you have a problem or question, somebody there can usually help. There are sponsors in attendance representing particularly legal business, hospitals and insurance....
