Marijuana Shabu-shabu Is Legal

 

 

PHITSANULOK, March 2 (TNA) – A local shabu-shabu restaurant is attracting customers with marijuana dishes.

 

Supatra Duang-nga, the owner of the restaurant, said that after marijuana was excluded from the government’s list of narcotics, she started to use marijuana as an ingredient for many dishes including soup, spicy salad and ground pork wraps.

 

The restaurant used two strains of marijuana: big-leafed sativa and small-leafed Thaistick. The ingredient was not intoxicant. Consumption was limited at 5-8 leaves per consumer per day and consumers must be over 25 years old.

A person could eat a kilo of those leaves and it would have no affect.... who are they trying to kid?

On a culinary level, it would be absolutely disgusting.  

Take a gummy bear.  smoke it.  Vape it.  This?  

Seriously who on earth would eat some of the best hot pot food in the world with tart marijuana leaves in it?  Thais.

Total nonsense marketing ploy.

What is known as Thai stick is Sativa anyway and not sure what they are on about with big leafed Sativa as they tend to have thinner leafage ..

Marijuana is slang for the drug produced from the Cannabis plant. The leaves are discarded in the drug producing process. So, should the title not read "Cannabis Shabu-shabu Is Legal", because "Marijuana Shabu Shabu" is definitively not what they are marketing here.

I think you are lost on how all this works, but nice try.  Did you read about drugs on the internet?

 

"Marijuana" not a drug produced from cannabis marijuana is cannabis.  It isn't slang, marijuana is any part of the plant that can be smoked, eaten, processed, or used in any way to get high.  Plenty of people smoke or eat the leaves when they run out of buds, or if that's all they can afford.  

 

If leaves are added to shabu shabu for a gimmic, it certainly can be considered "marijuana".

 

What do people think when they see this symbol?  Would anyone familiar with it think "Oh my, that's incorrect!"?

Wikipedia: "Cannabis, also known as marijuana (Spanish pronunciation: [maɾiˈxwana]) among other names,[a] is a psychoactive drug from the Cannabis plant used primarily for medical and recreational purposes."

There are no psychoactive substances in the cannabis leaves which they use in the menu, so obviously it's not marijuana.

looks like a gimmick more than anything. the positive is it will push the overton window for thc to be legal.

It's all good the more this stuff gets around the quicker the real stuff may become acceptable.

You really have no idea what you are talking about.  Trichromes can exist on bud, leaves and even stems. 

 

The resin glands of the cannabis plant, known as trichomes, occur on the plant’s buds, flowers, leaves, and even to a lesser extent on the stems.

Several times in uni, I smoked too much ganja and had no affect the rest of the night.
