Delete and add text to cartoon

Featured Replies

I've received and saved a cartoon which I'd like to forward with a change of text after deleting a word and adding a new word.  I'm on Win7 and not very computer savvy, so make it simple please.  Old age don't help. Any suggestions on how to do this?

I am willing to do it for you.  Just PM me the cartoon and what changes you want done to it.  If it is a one-time thing only, it would be much easier me doing the changes you like and probably faster too, than having to explain all possible options to do it (probably with a scrappy result if you are not familiar with such things).

You click on the Avatar-icon on the left-side of any of my messages (or on @Peter Denis ).  Then my profile opens in a new window, and there you click on message

A message with my address already filled in opens, and you simply need to provide a title for the personal message you want to send me, and add the content.  At the bottom by clicking on the paperclip [choose files] you can add attachments from your PC or mobile phone.

That is for sure because if the cartoon is stored as an image you will have to use an eraser or other tool to remove the text. (are other options) Then put in the new text or word. Maybe best to remove the complete text as it might be hard to find the same lettertype.

But results may vary because of how the text is imbedded.

The cartoon was a JPG-image.  So, I used PAINT to adapt the text (OP only wanted one word changed in the cartoon text).

Used an eraser to delete the word, then used a brush to paint the background of that removed word in same colour < light-grey > as the original.  And then used 'text' to find a similar font and font-color for the replaced word.

Easy peasy, even though I use Paint very seldom.
