Popular Post snoop1130 Posted March 23, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 23, 2021 Swedish travelers are eager to travel abroad again, many are interested in traveling far despite the hassle of vaccinations and the most popular destination is still Thailand. According to Adam Györki communications manager at travel operator Tui, some departures to the land of smiles are already fully booked. So far the roll-out of the Covid-19 has been far from problem-free in Sweden with delayed deliveries, concerns about side effects, and hassle with booking appointments but this has not stopped Swedes from dreaming of tropical destinations and bookings for next winter’s trip to Thailand is well underway. Popular Post internationalism Posted March 23, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 23, 2021 as the last year there were almost not tourism, it's difficult to compare. those budget travel agencies do have charter flights around one time per week and air planes are on the small side, around 200 passengers. If plane is not full in either one leg of journey, they would cancel flight and bump on another flight. several month ago there was a very similar hurra optimistic article (covered advertising), but it was with a warning from governments not to book international holidays well in advance, because of unclear situation. 8
Popular Post herfiehandbag Posted March 23, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 23, 2021 As this article does not tell us what the base figure which has shown a 150% increase is; then it is meaningless. Last year they had 100,000, then this year 250,000. Last year 10, this year 25. It's just TATtery under another name! 32 5 7

Popular Post DJBenz Posted March 23, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 23, 2021 Cases rising in Sweden and new variants among them, so I guess those Swedes are looking forward to a 15-day isolation: https://www.thelocal.se/20210316/new-covid-19-variants-now-dominate-in-half-of-swedens-regions/ Quote All but two of Sweden's 21 regions expect the coronavirus situation within the healthcare sector to get worse in the near future, according to an update from state agencies on Tuesday. [...] The variant B.1.1.7, first reported in the UK, was present in more than 50 percent of positive tests analysed in 13 regions, with the exact figure ranging from 16 to 72 percent between different regions. Variants first discovered in South Africa (P.1) and Brazil (B.I.351) had been discovered at a lower rate, only appearing in more than ten percent of cases or more in four regions. 6

madmitch Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 This is not a news publication and every article linked on TV has been subject to ridicule on the forum. And this meaningless twaddle can be added to that list. 2

Yes, I expected better - maybe a sign of equal desperation/avoiding inevitable conclusions in the Scandinavian travel business as well?

cheapcanuck Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 I found 10 baht on the street today. I originally had zero baht. So that means I actually had an infinite increase in wealth...whoo hoo!!! 1
Oldie Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 "some departures to the land of smiles are already fully booked." "Some" - that doesn't sound like "many". 1
mtls2005 Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 Seems to be some conflation between "interest" and "bookings"? Note that "bookings" do not always equal completed trips and revenue. Finally, ginning up interest calls for creative marketing. Keeping up with the Jones-sons is apparently a factor Sweden too. Space filling up, book your trips now. 1

elgenon Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 What airline have they booked? Svenska Air? I tried to find the cost of flying EVA PE with no luck. Maybe they are planning to drive?

DUNROAMIN Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 50 more Sweeds are coming, that'll be a game changer. 1
Guderian Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 Yes, great idea, book your holiday for next winter when the next wave of Covid with lots of interesting new mutations will be getting into gear, and Thailand can drop its quarantine requirements completely just in time to greet them all. What could possibly go wrong, lol? 1
Stargeezr Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 Must be a cold winter in Sweden again. Mild one here in Western Canada. I just hope that by next November weather and covid conditions are favourable for all of us. Geezer 1
