Did Trump build the increasing jobs in his economy or inherit them from Obama? It didn't actually last long, his jobs record was one of the worst in modern presidencies, even before covid.

How dies that fit with unemployment down from 4.7 to 3.5% under Trump until Covid?

In the past week or so, this guy fell up his airplane stairs, called another person the president, and today lost the plot in a press conference and then claimed to be over 120 years old.

Inherited good economy at the right time from Obama.

Here is a chart showing how jobs under Trump declined compared to Obama even before covid. An inconvenient fact for Republicans is that more jobs are always created under Dem presidents compared to Republican presidents. You can also clearly see the mess Obama inherited from Bush.

And below that chart is another showing how Trump inherited a good economy from Obama and never actually moved the needle of his own accord.

I have zero expectation that Biden will stand in 2024 and have already given me thoughts on why I believe he suggests it’s a possibility.

Meanwhile he’s doing a good job.

Vaccine roll out (especially since I got mine, thank you)

Infrastructure spending

Returning to the separation of powers

Rebuilding alliances with allies wrecked by the former guy

Restoring US policy towards enemies, coddled by the former guy

And in the background the DoJ returned to its roll of investigating and prosecuting  criminals.

I want to see him do more:

For the People Act

Tackle voter suppression

Repeal ‘Citizens United’

Tax reform rebalanced away from favoring the hyper wealthy

Break up big tech

Expand the Supreme Court

And now, with some urgency, tackle rightwing religious fundamentalists denying Americans their constitutional rights.

The election that matters is not 2024, it’s the mid terms.

I look forward to doing my bit.

Meanwhile he’s doing a good job.........of ruining America!

Vaccine roll out.........already underway while Trump was in office.

Infrastructure spending........only a small part of the ridiculous total proposed.

Rebuilding alliances with allies......after the Afghani debacle he's going to need a bunch of bricks for that one!

Restoring US policy towards enemies.....no point...they are getting worse and only laughing at Biden.

And in the background the DoJ returned to its roll of investigating and prosecuting  criminals......very selectively, it seems.

I want to see him do more........so do I.....do the right thing for once and resign!

You didn't answer my question but then par for the course I suppose.

What you charts show me is that new jobs were already declining from 2014 under Obama and that Trump actually managed to slow that decline. The negative spike is coincident with the start of Covid - so is the big spike in unemployment (2020).

The "mess" that Obama inherited from Bush are the effects of the 2008 financial crisis.

Nice try but no habana!

Hardly Trump's doing really. The vaccines were simply ready. Trump did nothing to prevent rampant infections by claiming that it was like 15 cases disappearing and that it would all go away by Easter, etc.

It's only a third more than the immense tax handout to the rich under Trump. Why do you think the infra bill is ridiculously high? Based on what data?

Trump did a deal with the Taliban without Afghan government involvement and moronic secretary of state Pompeo praised the Taliban.

Restoring what policies towards enemies? Who is laughing at Biden.? Sure he mishandled the withdrawal but the plan to do so was promulgated by Trump, much tot he disgust of our allies. Trump was laughed at by all US allies. That's a lot worse than being laughed at by enemies.

Odd how literally dozens of Trump insiders have been indicted and the list keeps growing.

You can't seriously believe that Trump was a better president, that would be delusional. Trump lost power because of his mishandling of the virus response.

If you like Trumps economy then you must LOVE the Obama/Biden economy.

-Trump entered office, unemployment at 4.7% then left office at 6.7%.     Loss -3.2%

-Obama entered office, unemployment at 10.2% and left office at 4.7%.   Gain +5.5%

-Trump stock market gained +64%

-Obama stock market gained +235%

-Trump debt, $8 trillion in 4 years.

-Obama debt, $6.8 trillion in 8 years.

Donald Trump owns the worst jobs & economic data since the Great Depression. (Trump calls it the greatest economy in history. Allot of the low info fan boys posting here even believed him.)

Well he did promise to do for the country, the same he did to his businesses. He inherited $200 million and went bankrupt after borrowing another $900 million.

Promises kept!

Have you noticed?.. The Democrats alway have to bring the pooper scooper to the White House.

He lost.

His August comeback never materialized.

He needs to focus on his collapsing ‘business empire.

He’s got some rather challenging legal troubles ahead of him.

He definitely should announce his candidacy for 2024, even if only because he needs the money.

Thanks , do keep me informed about how hes getting on .

Hows he getting on with Melania , is his marriage OK ?

A closer look at Trump supporters:

An uncouth or unsophisticated person regarded as being of low social status.

The majority of the species are hideously repugnant, unintelligent, and in many cases they rode the short bus to school, yet they manage to breed in ever-increasing numbers and populate an area known as the south or suburbs. It is quite common to find five or six offspring in each family group, often with a different father for each new baby.

The male of the species must be kept separate from the female offspring to prevent errant mating activity.

Their habitat consists of a weatherboard or brick-veneer dwelling with Fox on the TV and is characterized by an early-model Chevy or Ford in the driveway with a MAGA bumper sticker,  surrounded by a group of males drinking Mountain Dew, discussing why the carburetor is fuked and the results of last night's tractor pull or TV wrestling match.

The female spouses of the males, often referred to as "my cousin" while smaller in stature, is far more loud and aggressive than the male. While the males tend to be very friendly and congregate with other males, the females spend most of their time in supermarkets and shopping malls, pushing a baby stroller while smoking a cigarette & using a shrill high-pitched call to discipline their children and contact other females.

Males and females rarely interact socially except during breeding season, which is otherwise known as Friday night. During this time, females are allowed to enter the male-dominated area known as "the bar" and display their impressive coloured plumage to a prospective mate.

Herein lies an intersting phenomenon. Males will often fight over a particularly attractive female and she will mate with only one male, while some less attractive females have been known to have several partners simultaneously.

You forgot to mention the upside; Due to prevalent anti-vaxx sentiment their numbers are dwindling significantly.

it was at 3.5% before Covid

-Obama entered office, unemployment at 10.2% and left office at 4.7%.   Gain +5.5%

started in 2009 under effects of financial crisis

-Trump stock market gained +64% half the duration (4 years) plus Fed rasied rates in 2017-2019

-Obama stock market gained +235% 8 years plus Fed was at full-on QE and flat rates throughout

-Trump debt, $8 trillion in 4 years. half of that was due to Covid in 2020.

-Obama debt, $6.8 trillion in 8 years. I see $8 trillion

- Biden debt - proposes $6 trillion in 2022 alone (and get ready for the tax hikes!).

So Biden will own the worst jobs & economic data since the depression. Inflation is already doubled and there will be the inveitable huge tax hikes on the way. Have a great term.

Have you noticed? The Democrat pooper-scooper needs to be redesigned to suit self-use.
