I was bored a few days ago and went to 'explore' on my Line timeline

 

Looked at a dozen women pics without pressing 'like' on any of them

 

Now they are taking up 80% of my feed saying 'similar to posts you liked'

 

How do I get rid of these, my wife goes mental over things like this...

I have to get one of the girls in the office to "fix" Line for me, not the world's most logical interface.

 

Best to not Like girls photos if you have a wife or girlfriend on Line as they will see it. As for timeline you'll see what anyone you've added Likes plus the Explore photos

Some things on LINE definitely don't work the way they are supposed to work. I switched all notifications off. Result: Sometime I see a number near the LINE icon that I have x amount of notifications. And sometimes no notifications are shown but when I open LINE there are new messages. It's not reliable and that is obviously annoying. 

So I’ve tried putting a like on every non-girl photo I can see and it’s still not fixed it

Don't let your wife view your Line account seems the obvious answer.

I can't imagine letting any woman look at my mobile phone.

 

Just as a  matter of interest does your woman allow you free access to her Line and Facebook accounts?

yes, and her phones always playing up so borrows mine

It's easy to set a password to open LINE.

That is obviously not perfect because the wife might try and then ask questions.

But probably it's still better compared to the wife having full access and seeing things she shouldn't see. 

And as we all know it's easy to forget all those passwords. ????

So funny you mention this.  I passed by the shop yesterday thinking the name looked tempting.  Searched google and found their youtube videos too.  haven't seen any random ads or other references pop up on my phone since then then.

Sometimes I get notifications of messages but there are none.

Are the line timelines from friends on your list?   

In line. 

Go to home, settings(gear), timeline, manage timeline,  select category "friends".  Then slide slider to the right on everyone except special people. 

 

Then select category followers.  Should be blank  white screen.  Can select follow settings here or back a few screens.  Should see 2 white unselected squares.   

Also you can go to the timeline and  hide each post and all future posts by this person.  It's time consuming.

 

How do I know this?   I had private chat showing up randomly on my timeline 2 years ago.  

 

 

Change the phone pin lock number and don't tell the wife.

 

 

Set your phone to password protected I use ex girlfriends names so I dont forget my passwords

These app developers seem to be obsessed with building Facebook-type features into what should be just a free message and call service between private individuals. Why can't it just be that simple ? They seem intent on putting in unnecessary 'social-media' features which can potentially drop a user in the s***.

In   my LINE .  I went to Timeline and , timeline setting and "disable new friends to be added on your timeline".

 

Been like that for a while and it seem to work at the moment

Algorithm will pick up on your viewing habits and send more like it. It's how they make money. Delete the app.
