Prayut needs his support to have a clear majority.

Ranting after the meeting at Government House the PM - Big Too as he is known in Thailand - also threatened legal action was a possibility for using the term "Thai Khu Faa Club" - a bit like saying a Mile High Club!

So that's why they all get wings.

And Thong Lor is what, 3 meters above sea level.

Aim low.

You can never tell with a two faced politician. They would screw anyone if the thought they would benefit????????????

But he is not a politician, he's a soldier, with a soldiers mentality, a general. Politicians get elected by the people, soldiers don't.

Well he is a soldier mentality perhaps but the Prime Minister is a political position.

But that doesn't make him a politician, the only thing he has in common with politicians is his lies.

In fact he is worse than a politician, if a politician says there won't be an election, then there won't. This soldier said there will not be a coup, there was, and he led it.

The media needs to blast away with all they've got. The health experts and provinces are already going rogue.  Good for them.

Nobody is going rogue.

I think I could have seen this coming.  You do not write news articles which make the military look bad, in a country that is RUN by the military. Do members of the press consider these things when they report? Freedom of the press does NOT include political issues or political personalities.

He's a general in the same way as I am considered a brain surgeon after taking paracetamol for a headache.

There are nearly 2,000 generals in the Thai army. They are not what one would describe as highly accomplished, nor appointed based on much merit. It is not a position of great power, though undoubtedly their underlings pretend otherwise.

The Thai military has announced a major overhaul of its forces aimed at cutting the number of high-ranking officers.

Thailand has a notoriously top-heavy military, with about 1,700 generals – or one general for every 212 soldiers, according to Professor Paul Chambers, a military affairs expert at Naresuan University.

By comparison, the U.S. Army has 315 General Officers. Generals (O-7 to O-10) who comprise 0.06% of the Army. There is 1 General for every 1600 Soldiers.
